SP Turnbull didn't have a good outing...pitched only 3 innings while giving up 7 hits. 4 runs (2 earned) and 3 Ks.


Tigers still looking for only their THIRD series win home or road this season.


Fall to 9-23....committing 4 errors and striking out 9x..not in double-digits as is usual a "moral" victory of sorts.

Detroit Tiger fans. We know what you're thinking, Not going to happen in Detroit with Miguel Cabrera. He still has 3 years and $94 million to go. And the Tigers want him to achieve those 2 big offensive milestones - wearing the Old English D.
Why will the Detroit Tigers keep Michael Fulmer in the bullpen? It's because the bullpen (through Wed) has MLB's worst ERA (6.60) and given up the most HRs (20). Walks allowed (54) rank 7th, one of their better stats. Fulmer is needed to help stabilize the pen.
Interesting that after Detroit Tigers manager A. J. Hinch said that everyone is replaceable, combined with the news that Nomar Mazara may be back shortly, both Jones and Reyes step it up.

This is the best description of JaCoby Jones I can think of. After hitting .140 through his first 21 games, Jones is 4 for his past 9 with 5 RBI.

Not sure there are words to describe that ballgame..but keep in mind the worst offensive team in MLB scored 7/6/9 runs in Fenway Park..22 runs..and LOST 2 of 3.

Tigers would need to go .500 for the remainder of the season, for the team to finish with a record of 73-89, like I predicted last month. Obviously that is NOT going to happen, and it is FAR more likely that this piss-poor excuse for a MLB ballclub will finish with 20+ fewer wins than that!!


Even when the Tigers' offense isn't completely offensive, they still manage to lose by playing putrid defense and providing pathetic BP pitching.
