Tigers vs. redsox Game Thread May 30

23-27 and now 5.5 games back.. I guess on paper means nothing.... Frustrating and depressing...

Tigers came into the game 9-23 when scoring four runs or less (6-18 w/ 3 or less). They're 14-3 when scoring 5 or more.

Is it over? just another day, just another loss, oh hum, la de de de da, Jimmy crack corn and I don't give a fuck

Jim is now 1611-1612 as a manager.. He needs a 15-5 stretch fast and so do we!!!

Why is our farm system so bare? Is it because DD drafts mostly pitchers?

Because the Tigers draft strategy has generally been to spend a lot on one pick, Porcello, Turner, Castellanos, and then have no depth in their draft.

At least Hudson is only batting a .185...

But the Sox are 8-1 since picking him up.. Wonder if he last long?

the only possible bright spot about tomorrow would be if blue-eye shows up for a third consecutive game...but given his pattern of 2 bad, 2 good i doubt it (or was that porcello's pattern?). either way, i dont feel good about tomorrow.

Makes no difference, i'd almost prefer it if they just kept losing for awhile, maybe it's the only way to do what needs to be done. It might be time for change closer to the top. We need to build the the starting staff around an offense that can work a count and go up there with a game plan AB over AB instead of so many free swingers

that would involve blowing up just about the entire team and starting from scratch. you cant do that midseason. really we cant do it at all what with the contracts we've already given out, the barren status of our minor league system, the way DD drafts (he NEVER gets those types of players), and the price free agent replacements would likely cost.

Someone needs to be held accountable for this lack luster offense.

How about the guys on the lackluster offense?

On paper we should be tearing the cover off the ball, but everone from Cabrera down to Raburn with the exception of Ajax and Dirks are under their norms, you can't hang that on DD.

How do they get back on track? nothing seems to work longer than a day or two. I just don't see how it's going to fix itself. I think LM needs to go, we need a HC that can do a better job helping these guys figure out the flaws make adjustments etc..Just doesn't seem to me we ever see anything change in that regard in any sort of timely manner, Young stills hacks away at anything close, JP still doesn't look right, Nor Alex, Raburn never got it going, Santiago and kelly are both sucking ass worse than normal, on and on and on, yet night after night you see the same bad swings and over aggressiveness pop up at some point during any ave game with seemly no consistent adjustments for those whom don't figure it out for themselves during extra BP, took him over a year to fix Jackson, supposedly fixed JP when he first got here but now can't spot anything? his assistance needs to be better than that.
