The only redeeming factor I tried to look at was his FB velocity had improved from 90 to 93 mph. But don't mean shit if he can't control it or have late movement. wtf 6 walks his last game. and they will keep him no doubt.

2014 was by far his lowest fastball at 90.8 MPH and it was based on just 23.6 IP (after Tommy John). 2015 was his 2nd highest, but most with at least 100 IP. Sometimes, reducing velocity helps with control and/or movement.

And those were supposed to be his "peak" seasons.


Hopefully, whoever the scout was that recommended this signing is no longer in the organization. Or at a minimum, given a new pair of glasses.

He might want to try Jenny Craig,but I doubt if he will.Don't get me wrong,Miggy has been my idol since his move from Miami,but year after year he comes into spring training 10 lbs heavier than the year before.I think unless he does something about his weight,that he's on a downward spiral.
