Miguel Cabrera is back in the Tigers lineup, and back at third base after Sunday’s game off and Monday’s off-day. He’s in his usual spot batting third.
Delmon Young’s recent tear has landed him back in the fifth spot behind Cabrera and Prince Fielder. Brennan Boesch is out of the lineup, as Quintin Berry gets a start in left field, moving Andy Dirks to right. Dirks, interestingly, moves back into the second spot against the right-hander.

Tigers are in four-way tie for league lead in quality starts. They have 72, as do Tampa Bay, Oakland and White Sox.
Miguel Cabrera back at third base, Justin Verlander takes mound vs. Royals.
There's already plenty of talk about the Detroit Tigers' weekend series against the AL Central-leading Chicago White Sox.
But first things first: Kansas City.
Justin Verlander returns to Kauffman Stadium a month after making a All-Star start in which he gave up five first-inning runs in an 8-0 loss to the NL on July 10.
Since then, Verlander has gone 3-2 with a 2.33 ERA and an impressive 64:17 strikeout-to-walk ratio, making him a strong candidate to win the AL Cy Young Award for a second straight year.
That said, he's walked away with three straight no decisions, marking a career first for the reigning AL MVP winner. Can he break that trend tonight?
The Royals will counter with right-hander Luis Mendoza, who has won three straight home starts for the Royals -- winners in six of their last seven at Kauffman Stadium.
After missing his first game this season with a sore right ankle Sunday, Miguel Cabrera is back in the lineup Tuesday night and will start at third for the first time since last Thursday. He was the designated hitter Friday and Saturday.
Delmon Young has been tabbed tonight's DH and will bat fifth for the third straight game. Left-handed hitters Andy Dirks and Quintin Berry will start at the corners in the outfield and Brennan Boesch will take a seat. Neither Boesch nor Berry has faced Mendoza.
