Tigers vs. royals Game Thread October 3

Scherzer looks healthy, which is extremely important if the Tigers want to go deep in the playoffs.

Good sign to see Scherzer up around 96. Tonight. He is huge for Tigers championship hopes.

When its official, KC - you should make a Triple Crown Thread and sticky it. Get it up there with JV's MVP thread.

Thanks Mitch, I was thinking of doing that, and like you say,
I want to wait for it to be official.

trout won't catch Miggy for the batting title now 99% certain,
just waiting for granderson/encarnacion/dunn to make an out or just a basehit,
scratch that, dunn he isn't playing, and scratch encarnacion he is out too,
granderson, don't screw this up for Miggy.

We are witness to history and it's Our Tigers player, #Miggy#TheBeast

Max with 36 pitches, so far the velocity is up there, hope the deltoid muscle stays calm.

I never thought Miggy as a home run hitter even though he has hit 38 twice. Just all-around great hitter. And honestly, I never thought he could hit 44. Well, not that he couldn't but that he wouldn't. Can you imagine how many he'd hit if he tried hitting more, wow.

Great player and great season.

Miggy would also become the 1st Tiger since 1919 (Ty Cobb) to win back to back Batting Titles.

Exactly. He really is just an unbelievable hitter. It's just natural ability. He never seems like he tries to do too much with a pitch. He just does to the pitch what the pitcher gives him. The other day Santiago said Miggy watched film on Chen before the game...and he never does that. I think Prince is the same way. They don't watch film on pitchers.

Heh, MLB channel is still running the news that Scherzer is injured and won't pitch tonight on its news bar.

I know Billy Butler is a 1B/DH but if he could play LF I'd love to have him.
