agreed they should take one of them for sure.

like I said prior I'd lean Smyly since he's pitched in relief this year.

decision prob comes down to two of Downs/Porcello/Smyly...I gotta believe Putkonen and Marte are off the roster.

edit:...just remembered downs is a lefty...he's prob on then.

Smyly is the long man, he's already on the roster for sure, otherwise he would be starting tomorrow, but he;s not because they want him available for Game 1 if needed. The question is do they take Porcello also.

I don't see them taking Downs, and at this point, I don't see BV either.

There are 15 pitchers on the roster as of now...the only sure fire no is putkonen and I'd think Marte hasn't had enough work.

That would only leave one person to be left off and I believe you're right about smyly so that would leave it to downs/porcello imo....I know BV has struggled the last few outings but I still see him making the roster imo.

Unless they go with 11 pitchers.
