Tigers vs. twins Game Thread August 15

wow that replay shows how much revere turned his ankle over stepping on first base.

I'm sure A.J. would test positive for Estrogen, but I don't think it's a banned substance.

it isn't but it is in everything, food, especially chicken, every man has too much in their systems.

scherzer has calmed down and is straight up dominating them. 2 walks, 3 hits, 8 strikeouts.

If you told me after the second inning that Max might still go 7 innings today.....

Richard Bernstein seriously hurt getting hit by a bicyclist in NYC. Maybe he will call Sam.

Max with 103/104 pitches 6 innings 0 runs 3 hits 2 walks 9 strikeouts,

Tigers lead 4 - 0.

Scherzer's 10th game w/ 9+ K this season -- most in MLB and most by Tigers pitcher since Verlander had 10 in '09.
Scherzer has 8+ strikeouts in 6 straight games -- longest streak by a Tigers pitcher since Verlander had six from 4/27-5/25/09.
Only Hal Newhouser (7 games from 8/25-9/22/46) has posted a longer streak of 8+ strikeout games since at least 1918.

I really hope we don't see anyone but Scherzer, Dotel, and Valverde in this game.

Yeah just read that, well i think it's safe to say someone's life is about to be ruined.

Hint: It's not the guy with the serious injuries.

His first thoughts are not about his injuries but about "pedestrain safety". Freaking ambulance chaser!

Today's game marks the 28th time a Tigers pitcher has fanned 8-or-more in 2012 -- most by Tigers since posting 31 such games in 1971.

Miguel Cabrera has reached 30 HR and 100 RBI in all 5 seasons with Detroit. The 5 seasons are 2nd-most in Tigers history (Hank Greenberg w/ 6).
