Ryan Raburn slid right back into the starting lineup for the game Friday night against the Minnesota Twins after missing the three-game series against the Cleveland Indians while on bereavement leave.
Raburn will start at second and bat ninth for the Tigers tonight against Twins right-hander Anthony Swarzak (0-3, 4.73 ERA). Swarzak is 0-1 with a 7.62 ERA in five appearances, including two starts, in his career against the Tigers.
The rest of the lineup for the Tigers is filled with regulars, along with Quintin Berry, who will lead off and play center field once again with Austin Jackson (abdominal strain) on the disabled list.
Jhonny Peralta is 4-for-9 (.444) with a home run against Swarzak. Miguel Cabrera is 3-for-7 (.429) with a home run.
Left-hander Drew Smyly (1-1, 2.89 ERA) will start for the Tigers. It will be his first appearance against the Twins.

Well I have Popsicles tonight and my daughters boy friend wants to play MTG... Last Friday i went to on of those Friday night MTG nights and JV almost threw a no-hitter...Plus I am bleeding profusely on my leg from lawn mower work.. I have the pop's now it is time for the ding-bats to start hitting... Heck maybe Raburn will even hit verses the LHP..

Im honestly fine with Raburn in the lineup. Santiago and Worth arent as good as Raburn, even with how bad Raburn has been. Until the Tigers trade for a second baseman, Raburn is the best option.

That was GIDP No. 42 for Tigers. Came into the game fifth in the AL, behind Baltimore (50), MIN (49), NYY (42) and TOR (42).
Tigers last AL in gidp turned.
