Tigers vs. twins Game Thread May 25

Tigers beat the twins 10 - 6,
Tigers with 17 hits, 9 for 16 with risp,
Smyly gets the win,

I've grown pretty tired of Valverde's antics. Congrats, you closed out a 4 run win against the worst team in baseball. Act like you've been there before fuctard.

let's get two in a row now tomorrow and end that haven't won back 2 back games in over a month crap. 1 step at a time, day by day!

And he may have tweaked it again doing that from the way he was acting during that last hitter.

So people have gone from "I wish this team would show some emotion" to "tired of these fucktard antics" in the space of one game.

Hey, you're the one spending most your time on this forum attacking others opinions.

I had to go to urban dictionary to see what all these letters mean.
That's enough.
We get bullshit at the team and players....worst thing to do is to start lashing out at each other, over all of it.
Good posters all, lets just vent....not at each other.
Please....thankyou.

Sorry boss...

I have to agree w/ MI Thumb. Yeah, I don't dig that Valverde does that stuff but that is what he does...all the time. That's how he motivates himself. He's a hot dog. He plays with emotion and celebrates every single strike, out, etc.

What do you think would happen today if Mauer hit a homer off Scherzer and did that same dance at the plate before running the bases? Hell just standing there and admiring a homer usually gets you or the next guy up plunked.

I can see showing some emotion after k'ing a guy with the bases loaded in a 1 run game. But, he did it after the first out in a 4 run game in May.

It depends on the guy. If it was Manny Ramirez who did something weird or crazy then no one would blink an eye...same with Valverde. You expect it because that's what he does. You would never expect that from Mauer. Valverde's a side show. I don't agree with it either.

But really I was agreeing with his point about the emotion. People post on this board everyday (and I'm not saying you are one of them) how the players are all just going through the motions, no one cares, Leyland needs to scream at everyone, someone should have a tirade in the dugout, Miggy is laughing on the bench, etc. Not blowing up and losing your cool could also be considered acting like you've been there before.
