*Following last night's game, optioned RHP Brendan White to Triple A Toledo
*Selected RHP Sawyer Gipson-Long from Triple A Toledo.

Andre Lipcius is interesting but like the other 11 UTIL DET has on their roster he has flaws..he doesn't throw well enough or accurately enough to play major league 3B..which really reduces his usefulness..gonna need to fix that.

Javy Baez now at 109 times leading off an inning and he has zero walks.

Parker Meadows 0-18 this week..decent swings..but no BABIP luck..next week we find out a little about what he's made of.

Sawyer Gipson-Long, six up, six down, four Ks. Love the strike-throwing and the mix. Heard a lot about the cutter, but man, the changeup...woof.

Detroit Tigers Spencer Turnbull is listed as tonight's SP for Toledo. It is not expected that he will take the mound, using the cracked toenail as his excuse. Expect that battle lines will continue to be drawn between him and Scott Boras with the Tigers.
The Tigers have stated that they expect him to pitch. If he doesn't, they could put him on the restricted list. In any case, don't be surprised if Boras files a grievance with MLB against the Tigers.
The longer and uglier this plays out, the greater the chance that Turnbull will have a very hard time getting another contract with any MLB team.
