95 pitches in 4 innings, 2 hits and no walks. Its not the pitching per say but the BP.

Kudos to the Tigers for fighting back, but this game was the worst.

Turnbull hurt. This why you need to build around position players first. They are more durable. And you can trade them for pitching. Tigers mind set is as back words as can be. No relief, no defense, no hitting, bad trades, drafting isn't worth it. player development is worthless. give the front office a d- notice no capital d they don't deserve it. F that been reserve for the Failpen!

I don't think it matters how you do it...you just have to get good players. Personally, I think baseball in general covets pitching more than position players, because good pitching is harder to come by. I would rather have a great pitching staff and try to fill out a roster with decent hitters than have a team that can hit but no pitching.

Garbage Team.
Garbage Gm
Garbage pen.
Garbage hitters on most nights.
Average starting pitchers.

Not so sure I?m with the way Hinch managed this game.

White Sox 13-1 last 14 over Detroit.

Most of that is about right, except for starting pitching.

Detroit is #5 in the AL and #11 overall in starting pitching ERA.

Their bull pen is #15 in the AL and #28 overall

I don't think it's one or the other. Both are important, 8-7 games or 2-1 games.. doesn't really matter if you don't win. The team has played better this season than I anticipated but we need a better BP and some more bats. All around team is where it's at.

I?m remembering back to the Cecil Fielder era during the 90. Those teams would win a game by 20 runs, then be shutout 2 or 3 times in a row, then win again by 20 runs. Wash, rinse repeat. So they had these out of this world stats.

People around me would marvel at the great offense, and I was like ?what? The offense sucks. Sure, every 3 or 4 games they run into a big league pitcher on an off night and they?re able to light up. Against normal (good) big league pitching they blow.?

I was talking about how you build a team. He said concentrate on hitting and then fill in the pitching staff. I was saying that I think pitching is more coveted and more difficult to acquire. I agree that in order to win consistently you need a well rounded team.
