Six games to get 14 hits ! Average 2 a game gets him close.

Get StartedLet's hope he gets 3000 and retires
After his horrible start, Miggy has been close to an .800 OPS the last 90-100 games. If he can do that next year he has value. Even if he gets to 3000 this year he's not walking away from that money
Let's hope he gets 3000 and retires
There is very little chance this won?t happen.
It?s like 99% sure.
3000 probably won?t come until next year, and retirement could be even later, but it?s about 99% certain both events will come to pass.
of course he isn't going to walk away from $72M....he has two families to feed:lmao:
He already said he was going to retire after the season of '23. Two left. And like Go said he's been good for a while now, 2nd half 56 games, .291 .349 .458 .807. Hit in June as well.
as I said...I know he isn't going to walk away from any money.
He did hit well for part of the season...but he is still a below replacement level player given you have to count the entire season...not just the good months.
The whole team struggled early but .297 and .794 for the past 86 starts, at his age (esp. the injuries), is darn good. 2 more years with Miggy is not a concern.
you pointed out why having him on the team is a concern...his age and injuries. Plus the fact that he contributes nothing in the field. The Tigers have a manager that likes players with versatility...he is the opposite of that.
I should have been more specific with my wish.
He gets hit #3,000
He retires the next day
