Leyland follows through on his plan to have an all-righty outfield against White Sox lefty Jose Quintana. That includes left fielder Ryan Raburn, who gets the nod to bat second over Omar Infante. Given that Infante had two hits off Angels lefty C.J. Wilson on Saturday, albeit both singles that weren’t well-struck, it’s an interesting shift in thought.

With a left-hander pitching for the opposition, Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland is stuffing his lineup with right-handed hitters for the series opener against the Chicago White Sox.
Ryan Raburn will bat second and start in left field tonight when the Tigers open a four-game series against the White Sox. Avisail Garcia will start in right field.
Gerald Laird will start at catcher and bat ninth. The lone left-handed hitter in the lineup for the Tigers tonight is Prince Fielder, who will start at first and bat fourth.
Left-hander Jose Quintana (5-4, 3.69 ERA) will start for the White Sox. He has never pitched against the Tigers.
Rick Porcello (9-11, 4.58 ERA) has suffered the loss in each of his past five starts but has not pitched that poorly during that time. The Tigers have totaled nine runs scored in those five games.
Porcello is 5-4 with a 4.95 ERA in 10 career starts against the White Sox, but he has pitched extremely well against them this season.
Porcello is 3-0 with a 1.23 ERA in three starts against the White Sox this season. He has allowed three runs on 14 hits and two walks while striking out 13 in 22 innings pitched against the White Sox this season.
Paul Konerko (10-for-26, .385, home run), Gordon Beckham (5-for-13, .385, home run) and Dayan Viciedo (4-for-11, .364, home run) have had success in the past against Porcello.

Raburn batting .100; 2-for-20 with five K's in the 2 spot this season. But in his defense, he hits well in cellular field.
