what the hell happened to valverde's splitter? he almost never uses it anymore so hitters just sit on his fastball. he isnt mo rivera, he cant use just one pitch.

He can never get the splitter to locate, and I think that;s why he does not use it.

But I agree, we need a Closer who keeps guys guessing, BV would do nicely.
