Tigers vs. yankees ALCS Game Thread 4 Oct. 17

Do you take Max out considering what he could accomplish?

Just a thought, I'm sure he pitches the 6th and maybe the 7th, but after that he is out no matter what.

Nine strikeouts now for Scherzer, two here in the fifth. It's the fourth inning already in which he's struck out two batters.

So far, The Tigers have scored more runs in Game 4 (6) than the Yankees have scored in this ALCS (5).

for what? the soonest he would pitch again is like the 25th? let him pitch...

If the Yankees don't score. Wouldn't DY have the the RBI that put Detroit ahead for good in ALL 4 GAMES!! Had that ever been done before?

I absolutely love seeing our guys grind out a lot of ABs this series. Making the pitcher work for it.

that f'n hog head buster olney giving an excuse that sabathia had elbow issue, then don't pitch him, wtf he was up to 94.

So I miss the first 4 innings because I fell asleep. But I love tuning into a 6-0 game.

He's had some arm problems, he was supposedly on a 100 pitch limit. We need Max next series, why risk it?

He probably hits 100 next inning. So i guess your theory will be tested. Arm problems vs a complete game shutout/no hitter in a championship series. Tough call....he probably get to go til he atleast gives up a hit.

Tigers hitting 5th inning,

Laird works a full count, grounder to pitcher,

Jackson long at bat ground ball single to left,

Infante flys to center,

Cabrera takes inside, inside but ff ump says strike, chases a low pitch, soft liner to short and gloved and dropped by him, E6?

pitching change eppley out and rapada in, one funky sidearmer to another,

Fielder takes low, high chop to second force,

Tigers lead 6 - 0.

I don't see it likely he can be efficient enough to make it nine...already at 84 pitches. He'd have to pitch to contact and in that case he'd likely give up a hit/run.

the should've played a rod and granderson...not that it would've made much a difference but you gotta win with your best players. Chavez was out of baseball not long ago.

revisionist here...but not like this lineup has limited the Ks lol.
