Cool, I love watching the old guy get all emotional. Makes me feel, somehow more connected to baseball's history.
 
Wow, a month ago today the Tigers were 3 games out. How times have changed. Now it is time for JV to go get the home field advantage he lost in the ASG. GO TIGERS!!!!

He did that on purpose. It insured the Tigers would win the WS at home. Always better to win the WS on home turf.

heck nunez was about the only guy who hit.

given the way the tigers were pitching hard to believe jeter would've done too much more.
 
watching the postgame yesterday two things jumped out about me during the trophy presentation:

1) Dave Dombrowski will be the GM/CEO as long as Illitch is alive.

2) Mike Illitch is in worse health than I was aware of.
