Tigers vs. yankees Game Thread August 7

LOL

Eppley counting tweety birds circling his head.

If you watch enough baseball you will see something you have never seen before. That was one of those moments. I never even saw that as a little kid

Man, hate to see the last out at 3rd, but a great hit and RBI from Dirks. That run could be big.

Could this finally be the offense we have been waiting for all season? I hope so.

Clutch hitting has been great lately and we're getting contributions from 1-9. This team looks really solid right now.

Villarreal and C(h)oke warming up,

Rick in low 90's pitch count with 1 out in the 7th,

Not even worried about what the Whitesox are doing, if we continue to play like this, we'll make the playoffs and be serious threats to win it all.

aw shit, ichiro just gets it by Miguel,

Tigers lead 5 - 3,

Rick pitched well, 6 2/3 innings 101 pitches 3 runs 8 hits 3 k's 11 GB outs.

Rick was pitching a hell of a game, wish he wouldve got another chance to make it through seven.

I think he coulda gotten Martin out, too quick with the hook IMO but 1 pitch from BV works just as well. LOL. now please don't bring in coke to start the 8th

I have a mental image of Duane Below sitting on a metal folding chair in the bullpen covered in dust and cobwebs...

Either that or he's inside a clear case with the words "In case of emergency, break glass" on it.

Can you imagine if AA comes back strong? AA and Villareal with Dotel, Coker, Benoit, and Papa closing, that's solid right there.
