It?s been a rough month for the Detroit Tigers and their fans. What could possibly be worse?

Their tv broadcast team, that?s what!

Ranked by just about every major sports outlet as the worst in MLB. Not even close.
It?s just too bad that last place doesn?t warrant you first pick in hiring a new broadcaster.
But here?s where we?re going to give fans a cathartic experience. Afterall, we really need it, esp. after this week.
You are going to vote one of the broadcast team off the island.

Granted, the vast majority of fans would prefer that the entire trio be replaced. As well they should be.

But let?s send a message instead. Take your vote and cast it for the broadcaster who most deserves to have his microphone disconnected. Then, if that?s not enough, submit your comments. Remember, respectful rules here.

And we encourage you to tell your friends to vote, too. Let?s reach critical mass.
We know the powers that be read Totally Tigers. It?s your chance to send them a message. Loud and clear.

I couldn't care less about the Tigers TV broadcast team.


Any replacements would STILL be homers for the franchise regardless, b/c that is what Chris Ilitch wants and he will use his considerable influence upon this city and its media to get what he wants.


And that is to continue blowing smoke up the Tigers' fanbase collective asses.

I don't watch any broadcast teams other than the Tigers. But my guess is most are huge homers that don't rip the team too much.

That said, Gibson sucks.

As far as the Crew, Morris is awesome. Gibson can be hard to watch at times because of his slower speech but he's very knowledgeable.

Guys in general I?m an above average sports and baseball fan, but I?m a piker next to pretty much everybody else on these boards.

Maybe one of you know the answer to this ? I left home and drove to the beer store to get supplies to watch the game on TV, and I turned on the Sirius feed. It was the Yankee broadcast team and there was a woman joining in the broadcasting. I looked it up online and the only name I could find for any woman associated with the Yankee broadcasting was Suzyn Waldman, who is it said was or had been undergoing chemotherapy but has nevertheless been participating to a degree in the broadcasts.

Would her voice have been the one I was hearing? Anybody know?
