Guys in general I?m an above average sports and baseball fan, but I?m a piker next to pretty much everybody else on these boards.

Maybe one of you know the answer to this ? I left home and drove to the beer store to get supplies to watch the game on TV, and I turned on the Sirius feed. It was the Yankee broadcast team and there was a woman joining in the broadcasting. I looked it up online and the only name I could find for any woman associated with the Yankee broadcasting was Suzyn Waldman, who is it said was or had been undergoing chemotherapy but has nevertheless been participating to a degree in the broadcasts.

Would her voice have been the one I was hearing? Anybody know?

That's her. She does raidio for the Yankees with John Sterling. I would have to guess she is the only female color commentator in baseball. She is pretty annoying.

I have lived in NY since 2004. Neither Sterling nor her are all that great. Sterling's corny names for HRs for certain players is just stupidity.

I have traveled the world as retired Army. I have not lived in the state of Michigan since graduating HS in 1978. So, I have always watched broadcasts on AFN TV or listened on AFN Radio when I was in the Army, or when I was deployed as a contractor to Afghanistan or Iraq.

I currently subscribe to MLB TV (have for over 10 years now and watch quite a few games throughout the year. I would say about 50% are homers, the rest are not all that bad. To my knowledge, there is no other female announcer in MLB.
