Tigers vs. yankees Spring Training March 24

im not sure if gameday is telling me the truth or not, but it says that through five innings scherzer has thrown all strikes.

they are like that most every game, I am hoping it is to do with ST games only and that k zone box will return for real games.

Scherzer perfect through five with seven strikeouts.

Scherzer gets Chris Dickerson swinging for strikeout No. 7, retiring the side in the fifth ? 15 up, 15 down.

Only hit in this game so far is Jhonny Peralta's comebacker off Freddy Garcia's leg.

Counting 2011 ALDS (and why not?), Scherzer has allowed 4 hits in his last 12.1 IP vs. NYY ? 2 in 6 IP in G2, and 2 in 1.1 IP in G5.

Colin Curtis breaks up Scherzer's spring no-hit bid , with one out in the sixth, with a line single that dropped in front of Boesch in RF.
Scherzer finally surrenders a hit after retiring 16 straight, but finishes a scoreless sixth. Game tied 0-0 mid-6th.
Kelly with a diving, back-handed stab at 3B gets up and guns out Ramiro Pena. Peralta charges a slow-hopper to get Nunez at first to end 6th.

Not only is Max Scherzer the first #Tigers starter to pitch six innings, he's taking mound again for 7th. Low pitch count, high success.

Oh well, its really too bad that the Tigers lost after Max had pitched so well through 6 full...but they will get another chance to even the score and perhaps beat the Yankees on the road in ST.
