Tobias Harris to Detroit

Ultimately, it's a Ersan for Harris swap. And if you are okay with that, it's a great trade.

Jennings did not have a spot on this team anymore. Blake can spell Jackson for 10-15 a night when necessary.

Read several rumors this morning that were suggesting they would go after DJ Augustin or Jameer Nelson to back up Reggie

I don't like either one. Nelson is a few years gone from being useful and DJA can't shoot the two or three.

Here's the best way to look at this. The salary cap is going up considerably after this season. Players will be getting silly amounts of money, Tobias Harris' contract will look like a bargain by the time next season begins.

I love this move. Jennings and Ilyasova were gone after this season. This is basically just the Pistons first free agency signing of off season and it's probably the best bang for your buck deal you will see league wide.

Good point. And I already liked this move.

that's if he is any good. There's probably a good reason Orlando gave up on him so soon. Hopefully he just wasn't a good fit there. He was described as a "ball stopper" on offense and not much on the defensive end. I'm not too excited but I hope I'm wrong.

The way I look at it is we gave up practically nothing.

Zach Randolph was described in the same way, yet he has been on a winning team most of his career while going to multiple all-star games in the process. I wonder why.

right...but if he isn't good it is just a waste of $16M a year.

The risk you run with any player at that age, only this one came cheaper than the rest will/would. The type of player that doesn't have risks isn't coming to Detroit any time soon.

Randolph was averaging 20 and 10 when he was 23. Time will tell

I believe Sgg hit it on the head. You're not going to get supreme talent coming Detroit's way..

I wonder who gets the call up from grand rapids to fill the bench spot for the extra spot the trade open up .. probably Spencer d.

I think DJ Augusten was fun to watch as a piston backup. .probably as good as jennings until he heals completely. He would be OK as a addition. He knows the system already.

Honestly, Blake is fine spelling Jackson. Him or DJ make no difference in what's going to happen in a game.

Word is that SVG is trying to add bench depth before the trade deadline today.

Also, KCP is supposed to be back at 100%, which should help a lot on the defensive side.

Detroit Pistons add Thornton and Domo from the Rockets. Protected first rounder for 2016 in the mix which isn't necessarily a bad thing in one of the worst drafts of all time
