Today's Good Old American mass shooting brought to you by...

I think I read that the Governor of KY had 2 friends that were shot in that bank. I'm sure he'll go to the funeral & pray, but won't do anything to change gun laws.

Humor = tragedy plus time.

Probably gonna be a while before any of this can be funny.

On the other hand?was Audrey wearing a strapon at the time police recovered her cold dead body?

Because if she was?that would be kinda funny.

I think enough time has passed for this:

?Shoot first - give them your pronouns later.?

Now some bank employee in Louisville went "Ticking". All the media is reporting it.

The shooter left behind a manifesto in which he listed the reasons for his actions. The three main points were to show how easy it is to buy a gun, highlight the mental health crisis in America and finally to commit suicide.

Basically, a mentally ill gun control activist murdered several people and committed 'suicide by cop' because he doesn't like guns. The left is constantly warning us about the dangers of right wing extremist violence, yet an inordinate amount of this violence seems to be perpetrated by leftists. This explains why we haven't yet seen details of the Nashville shooters manifesto - I don't think they've released anything about the Las Vegas shooter from 2018.

Wait?what?

A gun control advocate went on a murderous gun rampage to make a to make a gun control statement?

That don?t make a lot of sense.

He could have left the same manifesto then committed suicide in public by standing on a bridge or a building pointing his gun at his own head until the news crews showed up. He didn?t have to murder 5 innocent people until the cops shot him because he was too afraid to do it himself.

I agree. My earlier post was supposed to be sarcastic

That would have been a hell of a show.

I would have watched that on television.

I know, mine was too albeit a little darker. I don?t actually want anyone to commit suicide or murder. I?d prefer they get help they need for whatever is causing them to have these urges.

BUT... you also want them to have as many guns as possible on-hand, but not use them, and get mental health treatment, but politically you oppose free mental health treatment... everything should be paid for from "market based" for-profit healthcare providers.

How the government shapes minds and then disavows the process. Link

"...from the fall of 1959 through the spring of 1962, Harvard psychologists, led by Henry A. Murray, conducted a disturbing and what would now be seen as ethically indefensible experiment on twenty-two undergraduates. To preserve the anonymity of these student guinea pigs, experimenters referred to individuals by code name only. One of these students, whom they dubbed ?Lawful,? was Theodore John Kaczynski, who would one day be known as the Unabomber, and who would later mail or deliver sixteen package bombs to scientists, academicians, and others over seventeen years, killing three people and injuring twenty-three."

Curiously, the FBI is not releasing Audrey Hale's "Manifesto" when it's SOP to do so in order to influence public sentiment and reaction.

BUT, BUT, BUT...no, I don't want mentally ill people to have as many guns on hand as possible. Also, I'm not opposed to the mentally ill getting mental health treatment but I don't see how you think it would be free. You're not that dumb are you?

even though the mass shootings get 99% of the media attention, they aren't really a big problem when compared to the rest of the shooting deaths.

Over 11,500 people have been killed by guns already this year. According to this article, 57% of them were suicides. My guess is most of those would have happened with or without guns. That's a huge problem, but not a gun problem.

That leaves about 5,000 gun deaths so far this year. Mass shootings account for about 3% of those.

The 97% of 5,000 is the real problem.
