Which statement below most supports Nick Castellanos? huge month of offensive productivity with the Cubs?

Analytics can?t measure competitive fire and emotion.

He needed a change of scenery.

The pennant race must be inspiring him.

Relieved to be out of dire situation in Detroit.

Better coaching with the Cubs.

All of the above.

Other.

On Friday, Castellanos hit his 15th home run in his 40th game since being traded to the Cubs from the Detroit Tigers. The 15 home runs, according to the Elias Sports Bureau, ties the most home runs hit by a player in his first 40 games with the Cubs in the modern era.

Since being traded to the Cubs, Castellanos has not only hit 15 home runs, but he has 30 RBIs while posting an OPS of *1.007. (* heading into Friday’s game)

CHC before Castellanos = 57-50 .533 WPCT

CHC after Castellanos = 25-24 .510 WPCT

All of this, despite hitting .335 BAVG 1.045 OPS 16 HRs

September has been the Cubs best hitting month so far and their 2nd best ERA for pitchers and they still have gone just 9-12. They have been in 7 1-run games in September and they lost every one of them (2 were walkoff losses). 6 of those 1-run games are from their last 6 loses (in a row). Kimbrel has only pitched 3 times in September and entered each time with the game tied.

This team may be the favorite to sign Castellanos.
MLB.com

Nick has not signed yet ..perhaps because no team has offered him what he thinks he is worth and also because very few teams are overly eager to sign a poor fielding outfielder.

Am thinking he would hit well enough for the Rangers ..but still ..even with his potent bat ..his poor defense probably does not warrant more than 3yrs/$45m.

With that said, I could not care less where Nick Castellanos ultimately signs. He is no longer a Tiger.
