Trading up???

And pay Freeney for a year on a "2 year deal". Worth it. There is no 8-10 sack 40 hurry guy in this draft in Round 1 or 2.

if youre saying ansah cant get 8 sacks in this defense than SUh blows and we should just cut him now.

8 sacks could but not 40 hurries. Avril had problems being consistent last year. Suh and Fairely get the doubles and push the pocket deeper but alot of the time it's up to the DE to turn the corner or use some power. We'll see if we take Ansah and what he does. I'd rather have Freeney and Ansah to ease putting everything on a rookie.

Fuck that, if Ansah is our round 1 guy, hes gotta get thrown in right away. he can develope ON THE FIELD!!!!

We have some top notch, elite to near-elite players. Our first priority needs to be protecting them... like getting Stafford a quality O-Line.

If the team is convinced Reiff isn't an LT, then trading up should be a priority. If they are happy with Rieff, then take Ansah, Jordan, Jones...whoever.

But we can't have new toys until we learn to take care of the ones we have. Protecting Stafford is far more important at this juncture than better pass rush.

The Lions two biggest needs are LT and DE. As long as they get an impact LT or DE at 5 I really don't care which one.

I am not in love with anyone in this draft I would rather deal down if we can and keep dealing down. I like some of the prospects in the 2nd and 3rd better than the first. So if we could pick up a couple 2nd and 3rd rd picks then do that. The problem is we need someone to want to move up. I think a team may want to move up to 5 for Austin to get in front of the Jets.

Even when we pick 5th we have bad luck. It's a weak draft at the top, the position we most need (LT) will have the top 3 gone in the 1st 4 picks. When has that ever happened? The other position we most need (DE) has no one worthy of the 5th pick, they are projects and guys that don't fit our scheme. In any other draft we'd be able to easily trade out of the spot because there would be a top QB that several teams would be willing to trade for.

Just terrible luck.

I agree its definitely not as exciting of a draft.

What?

No, it wouldn't. He'll likely be there in the 5th.

No way I take fragile KR with no position before then. Too many other holes to fill.

It was in jest. He said favorite receiver and Robinson is now a receiver. Can't think of a receiver in the draft that I like more than our own.

And I disagree, I don't think we do have a lot of holes to fill. We had a lot of holes to fill a couple years ago.

Also, I want Jordan or Ansah in the first, then Damontre moore. Don't draft a receiver dammit.

Both de spots need to be upgraded, olb, cb, rg, lt, c....nah.....not too many holes at all. And thats not including the stretch the field #2 wr and a dynamic te that this offense needs badly. 9 holes. 1 draft. Get to work mayhew!
