Tulloch

Now what? Wouldn't mind seeing Tulloch back at a decent price? Good veteran, and a leader

No way he comes back...they would have just renegotiated with him/extended him at a lower average salary. Theres some bad blood between the Lions FO and Tulloch...

His contract was too fucked up to fix. Correct??? I don't think there was any bad blood. They paid him more than he was worth last year, paid him his roster bonus earlier this year, and now they let him go, just as he expected. How could he be upset with that? Guy got paid like a top notch middle linebacker last year.

Bad blood? Link? Never say never. Tulloch's agent was in Detroit not that long ago. You never know...

The Tulloch camp was told in Feb he would be released...then they stalled on pulling the trigger. That could lead to some bad blood from his camp as it made finding a job more difficult (roster bonus not withstanding).

Stephen Tulloch - LB - Free Agent
Free agent ILB Stephen Tulloch underwent arthroscopic ankle surgery earlier this offseason, but is now 100 percent healthy.
We finally know the reason for the four-month delay in Tulloch's release. The Lions would have owed Tulloch an injury settlement had they cut him before he could pass a physical. It's still surprising an accord couldn't be worked out sooner. Tulloch should find a new home as a two-down run stopper before training camp.

Stephen Tulloch - LB - Free Agent
The Newark Star-Ledger's Eliot Shorr-Parks considers the Eagles a potential landing spot for free agent LB Stephen Tulloch.
The Lions finally released Tulloch on Tuesday after informing him he'd be cut four months ago. He underwent an offseason ankle scope that delayed his release. Tulloch is 31 and coming off another 100-plus-tackles season. He played for Eagles DC Jim Schwartz when Schwartz was the Lions' coach. Tulloch could be a veteran presence for a younger linebacker group in Philly.

100 percent injury related in the delay. Whitehead is the mike. He played much better last year and was solid in 2014. Bynes, bostic, the 5th rounder and gooden is good depth

Getting younger with a sprinkle of veteran leadership. I like this route....saves money too. Tulloch is not worth what he would have gotten.

Seems like he barely played last year. I thought he played extremely well in 2014. Hints why I was frustrated that Tulloch was our starter in 2015.

Whitehead played more in second half of last season and did well. Defense was much better
Lawson for mathis, diggs for wilson, whitehead for tulloch and quddus for ihedigbo were big changes that worked
