That was an ugly game on both sides. Entertaining and a win, but definitely ugly.

So, again, aside from Iggy (.340), Miggy, Victor and J.D., no other player has an acceptable OBP to hit at the top of the order. And I would only hit Iggy there against LHP. But then I would also want Kinsler there, because he also kills LHP.

no...it's ever so slightly below average for #1 or #2 but I didn't think you were talking about where he hit but just said he wasn't good at getting on base. But his OPS is above average. I have said several times that Kinsler should be hitting 2nd and agree that they don't have a suitable lead off batter. I thought the Tigers should have pursued Dexter Fowler PRIOR to them getting Maybin and Upton. He would have been a good lead off batter.
