Van Noy

People bit ching about Van Noy are probably the ones that liked the pick on draft day. So he's rushed the passer once this year and got to him? If he hasn't been injured (this year) why the fuck doesn't Austin use him more? I think my biggest gripe about this season is how certain players aren't being used. Tahir Whitehead, Van Noy, and Lawson should all see the field more. I just don't get it.

I don't see how you could possibly of seen enough of Van Noy to know Austin needs to use him more. Have to think coaches that have seen him everyday know enough to know if he should be seeing the field.

The same coaches that still put the completely shot Tulloch on the field instead of Whitehead?

Again, maybe they see nothing in Whitehead? I have no doubt our coaches stink but sometimes there's a reason why someone doesn't see the field.

Yes, seems like they have been cutting his playing time. What have you seen to know Van Noy is better? Or is this the typical anyone is better then current theory?

If you need any proof that our coaches are fucking morons....look no further than travis Lewis getting play time.

I see a terrible team with an 0-5 record. Bench Tulloch for Whitehead and work Van Noy into some pass rush downs. Why the hell not?

See nothing in Whitehead? Didn't he play much better than Tulloch looks this season, last year?

That was last season. Just because someone is decent one season doesn't make him decent in another. Matt has showed us that..

True, so yeah, they should stay with the old man with a bum knee that is doing absolutely nothing. Whitehead should be building off of last year not sitting behind Tulloch.

When did I say not play them? Where? All I said was, right or wrong they apparently have their reasons. Maybe he's not doing well during the week.. Just all speculation on our part.

This doesn't mean that Whitehead doesn't deserve to see the field? I'm thinking the only reason he's on 5he field is because of how much money they're paying him this season.

Why wouldn't we speculate, Last years 11-5 Lions are 0-5 this season. Whitehead was on the field for those wins.

So he's the reason we're 0-5? Why are you getting so worked up.. I don't know why he hasn't played more. Why hasn't Van Noy played more? Why was Reiff a FB his first year?

I'm not getting worked up,lol. Just want a spark from someone besides Ziggy on defense, and there's nobody on the d besides him to do that, just old men who aren't good anymore

Me too, who knows. Remember when LeShoure had a solid season in 2012, his first. 9 TD's. Only 2 carries the next and final season. And he was a healthy scratch. I'm sure we didn't miss him but I wondered why he at least wasn't out there.. He was our best guy that year. I know we got Bush but you'd think he would have been 3rd option at best. At least given the benefit of the doubt. Our 3rd best rusher in 2013, Matt Stafford.

Sure do. Leshoure was the product of a offense that moved the ball well without the help of a run game that year. The passing game would move the ball down the field and Leshoure would punch it in from short yardage. He had no runs of 20 yards that year, lol

I'm not going to get my hopes up with KVN until I see it on a Sunday afternoon.

When he was drafted, I thought he'd be in the DROY mix.....needless to say I was WAY off. I would be a huge win for us at this point if he developed into a solid starter.

I am cautiously optimistic. It's still the underwear portion of the off season.....where the Aaron Brown's and the Patrick Edwards' of the world also "show improvement"!

ya talk is cheap this time of year. There are always fluff pieces of Older players 'finding the fountain of youth', or under performing young guys 'poised for breakout years'.

The fact of the matter is he was healthy for the 2nd half of last years season, and barely saw the field (as a LBer) even with Levy being out and Tulloch having a reduced role. This worries me big time, and makes me think his issue is not so much 'being healthy' as it is being a professional and learning how to read defenses/learn assignments.

I was high on him too when he was drafted, and by no means am ready to label him a bust, but when a coach comes out and says "You need to get better, better in every way, too, from his film study to his footwork, in his eye discipline and his overall conditioning." That is not a good sign...its one thing to 'get healthy' or learn the proper footwork, but Ive almost never heard a non QB get called out for needing to improve Film Study or eye discipline...

One things for sure - Year 3 will be make or break time for KVN. He needs to put up or shut up
