That was about as good a result as fans could ask for since it absolutely increased the chances of Caldwell & Co being fired, and Mayhew and Lewand too.

Very well played!

They shouldn't have even let them on the plane. Can't remember which team(s) fired coaches/GMs/ADs like that recently, but that's what these clowns deserve.

With a bye week coming up next, might as well clean house now.

Exactly. The season is lost. Fire everyone and at least send a message to your fans that you care just a little bit about results. Last year we were a playoff team and now it looks like our best case scenario is a 3-13 season.

From 11-5 to the laughing stock of the NFL again in just one year, way to go Lions, hey look on the bright side..

No wait never mind there is no bright side the joke clown ass fords will still own the team. It's highly liked I'll never buy another ford ever again as all I can think when I hear ford is joke clown ass lions

11-5 But we beat one team that finished with a winning record. We all knew the defense was going to regress (well except LKP). Are we really that surprised. I'm mean a bit right. But on a scale of 0-10 it's like a 6 at best.

Martha Ford could send a hell of a message to fans with some big time firings this week.

He late husband was an apathetic owner. Fan expected her to be more apathetic.

Mayhew and Caldwell gone by Tuesday.

I really think there's a reason to fire Lewand. He has zero involvement in the football side of things and is really there for branding and the "business" side of things.

Driving drunk through the Famliy Day picnic? Bout 5 years too late but...

Whatever it takes to get rid of this fool mayhew once and for all. Nice job Lions!

You can't go back and fire someone for something they did 5 years ago though.

My point is, nothing he does affects the product on the field.

I'm just kidding. Seriously though I'd fire everyone top to bottom including the guy who washes the jocks.

If the axe is going to fall again, I suspect it will be Mayhew this time around. Possibly Lewand will go as well.

I would too. There is still a part of me that would keep Austin. I know the D has been terrible.....but good god, look at what he has to work with. Like John Lynch pointed out.....its Ziggy, Slay, and MAYBE Quin and a bunch of guys that would be 2nd and 3rd stringers on good defenses.

Tulloch.....Lewis.....Bynes......Ihedigbo.....Mathis and to a degree Jones and whoever is playing the #2 DT spot are all role players asked to do bigger things.

I would keep Austin. Fire the rest. Trade CJ and Quin in the off season.....as they are the only players I can see getting anything for.

It would at least go a long way toward correcting the cap hell that Mayhew created, but it would be bittersweet seeing CJ traded.

Just let Matt Stafford run the team. He can be a player coach.

We actually agree on something.

CJ is my favorite player......he is my 4 year olds favorite player......and though 4 year olds don't have much of an emotional attachment to teams or players at their age......I do think he'd be crushed.

So would I.

But, it would be nice to see CJ get a chance at a title. NE would be a PERFECT fit for him. Not sure if it could work, cap wise, but he'd be reborn with Brady and Belicheat!

Well a big problem with the team lies in the coaches having quit on the team. Who wants to be coached by quitters? Especially ones who quit mid-game in more than one game???
