Virgil Trucks, 95, threw two no-hitters in the major leagues.

I remember he came out to Comerica and had his picture taken with Verlander after JV's second no hitter 2 years ago.
Dad saw plenty of him in the early part of his career with Detroit and said he was fast...near Bob feller fastball fast if not equal. 95 years is a long life. ' In his heart 'Always a Tiger'.

Trucks was quite a bit before my time, but I remember many of my late neighbors in the D during the 60s who were part of the "Greatest Generation", like my father was, often talk about Trucks with near reverence, while sitting on our front porches, and listening to Tigers ballgames on the radio. RIP Virgil.

Would have loved to see him. Heard he was great with fans well into his 90s. RIP.
