Vontaze Burfict?

Now, back to Burfict. Is there a better tackling/more explosive lb in the draft? Im all for the Lions nabbing this guy. My only question is where would he fit in? Does he have to play ILB, or could he move to the outside? Adding another beast to the Lions lb corps might be just what this defense needs imho.

Dudes explosive but refuses to wrap up. Tackles with his head down and spears every play. He'd fit in well.

Our lbs are asked to do a ton with how far the dlines splits are. I dont see him having a hard time shedding people and making tackles but if he was to play on the outside we also ask alot of our Lbs in coverage...Havent watched a ton of him but im guessing he could have some shortfalls there. Especially if the front 4 dont figure out how to get pressure.

I'm praying he's on the board for the Lions in the 5th, and some are saying he may not be drafted at all.

IMO if he's there, we have to take the guy. If he washes out, he's a low cost throw away pick, but he has the talent level to be a Pro-Bowler when his head is on straight.

He's been compared to Ray Lewis ad nauseam. I don't see how you pass with a late pick on a guy being compared to a future Hall of Famer when you have the chance. Get him late, and get him therapy.

In the past with guys who fell to late or un-drafted territory, Mayhew and company do not seem interested in that type.

Tulloch was resigned...end of story. This dude is WAYYYYY too slow to play anywhere but the middle in a 4-3...and he aint playing in the middle here.

Yep and with Levy and Durant on the roster, we don't need a backup MLB
