Vs Indiana

10’ wide hole and Haladay runs right into a 3’ wide lineman trying to run through a guy that outweighs him by 80lbs. I can’t wait until he’s no longer around.

IU averaging 7.5yds per play including incomplete pass plays. 9.3 without them.

They have 4 tds in last 5 drives. The stop was against the 2 min offense. Chiles is playing like shit and not giving them much rest but it’s not all on him.
D held them to 3 and outs 3 of first 4 drives. They were great before our bone head qb started putting them in shitty spots. He's the main reason this game went to shit.

They’ve gotten 1 stop since then and it was against the 2 min offense. No sugar coating this, Chiles is bad but it’s not just him - can’t run the ball, receivers aren’t getting separation. The defense sucks too. It was just a matter of time. The kicker is our best player but we can’t get in range.

You didn't even watch h the 1st qtr. Maybe sit this one out.

Yeah, you really need to see the first quarter to understand this is all one guys fault.

Anyone can see this whole team sucks. The offense may suck more but the defense sucks too.

That's not the argument here. I'm saying that this game went to shit when Chiles started his weekly retard mode. We lose this game 100 times out of 100 anyway, but we were in this game until midway through the 2nd because the fucking defense. Then it spiraled mainly because their idiot qb kept doing dumb, unforced shit again.

None of these osu transfers have really shown much. Outside of Chiles scrambling(which often leads to him making a miatake), I haven't seen much from them. All I heard was how good Velling and Miller are. I haven't seen shit from either of them.

I’ve never said Chiles isn’t playing poorly but 3 of IU’s first 4 TDs were 75, 65 and 64 yards with the defense giving up multiple huge plays.

Seems to me that it’s more of a coincidence that IU figured out our weaknesses around the same time Chiles started shitting himself. And as bad as he’s played I think once again, our biggest weakness is up front. Our o-line is abysmal - again.

Velling has been a big disappointment. Chile’s was all about potential but Velling was supposedly a known commodity. He’s clearly underwhelmed.

It just seems to be a trend that we start out strong and then Chiles makes a play that completely flips the game. Same thing happened last week vs UM. That lost fumble was turning point in the game. He lost 1st half fumbles going into score tds vs both Oregon and OSU. We probably lose those games anyway, but still on par with the trend. Then the BC game was completely on Chiles mistakes.

We aren't beating Oregon, OSU or Indy with this roster, but with average qb play we should have beat BC and UM

yeah, there is a pattern but I think it's more related to the caliber of team on the other side. OSU has gotten off to slow starts virtually every week. Oregon was also always gonna thrash us. The reality is this team is nowhere near competing with teams like OSU, Oregon and at least this year's IU team - where did they come from?

Where it has really hurt is in winnable games like BC and uofm. BC is probably a game we win 6 or 7 out of 10 times. but huge mistakes on both sides of the ball led us to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

As for Chiles specifically, he seems to have all the physical tools but he makes so many mental mistakes. Stays in teh pocket too long so he can't run or throw the ball away, makes ill-advised hero throws, etc. But I have to say, the time he did rollout and Foster just stood there at the first down marker watching him scramble with a defender right next to him made me wonder if he's getting any help at all. Unfortunately on TV, you don't see what's going on downfield. Maybe they need to simplify the offense or something to try to get him and the offense something to build on - if he isn't already a lost cause.
