I'm always hearing commercials with voice overs and thinking "Oh...that's Julia Roberts...that's Jeff Bridges...that's David Duchovny...that's Matt Damon...."

Look it up on line and it turns out to be right.

I am a little surprised, however, that I didn't know who the guy on CNN was; the one who sounded to me like Biden when I wasn't looking at him.

Chris Cuomo - brother of the current Governor, and son of the former Governor of New York.

I don't recall ever seeing him on TV or hearing of him before.

And when I checked out his bio, I saw that he's been in broadcast news for quite some time.

I pick out voiceovers and animated characters to the annoyance of my wife all the time. The tricky thing is knowing there are "sound alikes" out there. I overestimate their prevalence. When I 1st heard the "Humans" insurance ads that are all over the place, I thought that guy was doing a pretty decent Paul Giamatti. Googled it...turns out, Paul Giamatti's Paul Giamatti doesn't sound as spot on to me as I'd expect.

That's because when he wants people to think it's not him, but somebody impersonating him...he changes his voice just a bit...might say he kinda talks sideways...

Actually, if Giamatti does a VO in an accent so he doesn't sound like himself, he gets a premium for that. Genius.

I don't think it was that expensive of a movie to make though.

Meanwhile, I just saw Peter King's mug (I didn't have the volume on) on CNN, and he was titled underneath D - Rep. Peter King, New York...

...his being a D is news to me...
