Welcome aboard Marvin Clark

My bad, i was looking at the 2010/11 team and pulled his numbers from there. Either way, the 14/15 team is likely to be younger and less experienced than the 11/12 team was so even if Byrd pumps in 5 ppg I don't think it will matter all that much - especially given my belief that his plus/minus will be awful. I just don't see how his defense is going to improve enough over the summer for him to be a 22 minutes per game guy unless we're ok with a kid that scores 5 and gives up 20.

I was really down on next year but I feel better about some guys like Kaminski, Ellis, Trice, to go along with Denzel and possibly Dawson. I'm assuming Harris is long gone, wouldn't blame him for leaving.

Yeah, next year might be alright. I won't get all worked up about Final Fours or even Big Ten titles but that's ok some years. Valentine and Trice look like they'll be able to take the reins and make it their team next year. I think some of the production Costello had when Payne was out is something we can expect more of, and I think Ellis has a fair amount of potential. Same with Kaminski if he can improve in areas beyond shooting.

It should be comparable to the 2007 season. We might have more returning talent than that team did, but that team had Raymar Morgan make a big impact as a freshman, and I don't think we'll have that unless some things still develop in recruiting.

If by some miracle Dawson comes back, we might still be able to crack the Top 25.
