I'm sure teams know the Redskins & Lions won't be taking a QB. Nor the Giants so if someone fell in love with Tua it would seem the Giants pick is the one you'll need to get.

you go up to 3 because you don't want another team to trade in front of the Giants.

Then why not trade with Wash. to make sure?

This. If a team wants Tua, they'll need the second pick. Because the moment someone works out a deal for our pick, Wash is going to call them and say they have another team on the line.

Only way a team trades with us is if we're on the clock after Wash has made their pick.

Huh? With us picking after Washington they know we would take chase young following their trade. That?s why you trade to 3 and not 2. There is a definite number 2 in this draft, there is not a definite pick at 3 but rather a handful of options.

Washington has Payne,Allen,Sweat,Kerrigan and Ryan Anderson. They have a big hole at left tackle unless the new regime convinces Trent Williams..scherff is a fa too. Hope a tackle prospect rises to be considered at 2

If Burrow goes 1 and they don't want Young, they will trade down.

Right but 4 teams in the top 2-10 wil be gunning for 1 guy if they go qb. So teams life LAC, CAR JAX could trade up which we could use as ammo to go back to the dolphins and ask for both of their 1st rd picks.

No way Jax trades up for a QB, they are in win now mode to save their jobs like the Lions. They just kept their coach and GM. They also have tons of money in Foles and their rookie QB out performed every other rookie QB. As you can see I am slowly becoming a Jags fan because I have finally been broken by the Fords after 30 years. When they pass over Young that should be the final straw.

No way that happens. Washington has all the leverage with that pick.....if they truly don?t want Young....they trade down with someone who does and get what should be a huge haul of picks. They just hired Rivera.....a defensive coach.

Taking a LT in that slot would be terrible value for 2 reasons.

1. Nobody worth it.
2. Your draft slot is golden due to Young. Very tradeable piece.

Unless Young gets hurt or runs this n the 5.0 range.....he?s going #2.

isn't that what I said?

Theres like 3 top 10 projected OTs this draft. You have a young QB and 3 young WRs with no protection at LT. Its really their biggest need. If im washington im talking to LAC to move down to their spot so, to your point, i can get an OT and still get better value. Just need to hope the Chargers or Miami like Tua that much more than Hebert.

If I?m Quinn.....I?m calling Washington to see what they?d want to swap picks. If it?s not too much....it?s worth it to get Chase Young.

Id hate to give up anything more than a 3rd rd pick this year...maybe toss in something like a 3rd rd pick next year too.

But we REALLY need that 2nd rd pick this year.

Looked up the value chart:
WAS 1st rd pick - 2600 pts
DET 1st rd pick - 2200 pts
DET 3rd rd pick - 255 pts

Its close....but they may ask for a bit more. DET 4th rd pick 104 pts. So were probably looking at losing our 3rd and 4th rd picks to get Chase Young. Id think its worth it....our defense is absolute trash.

We have no idea if these GM even think highly of Young. He might not be a consensus 2 on their boards. I'll trade back regardless and grab two LB.

you are correct...we don't know what these GMs are thinking. But most of the "experts" in college football, Draft "experts", etc. think he is the best player in the draft, regardless of position. There will be some GMs that feel the same.

After watching the Bama game and listening to some reasons why Tua may stay , i'm not convinced he even comes out this year . Hebert was highly regarded as the #1 pick last year had he come out , so maybe if he has a great game today he jumps back into the conversation where Tua was ?? As i say that he throws an interception lol

It's pretty unfortunate for us Tua got hurt. It would be a 100% certainty that he and Burrow would be the first 2 picks.
