Word Out On Janoris Jenkins

I just dont see where we can afford to take a risk pick we has a history of weed especially with the arrests we have had this offseason. I get the fact we need help at CB we also seem to need help at corner but we have to be careful

Three arrests, multiple positive drug tests, 4 children with 3 women. This is a grey area for you? For society's sake I hope you don't have kids.

I wouldn't worry about the positive drug tests if we drafted him, we know how to get our guys to pass. It's the cops we need to worry about.

I'd draft Charles Manson if he was BPA. I'm not looking for role models, I'm looking for talent.

I understand your point but you have to look at person not the player. Look at what happened with the Jets last year. To many players out for themselves can destroy a team.

Janoris Jenkins disputes a report that he was still smoking marijuana at North Alabama last season.
"I wasn't smoking marijuana at North Alabama," Jenkins said. "... I want to know why all of a sudden this is out there about me. Why didn't it come out after the combine when I was straightforward with the scouts? The timing is very interesting to me." Jenkins' defensive coordinator back up his story, insisting the cornerback did nothing to violate his zero-tolerance policy. While there's little doubt that Jenkins' stock has taken a hit due to character concerns, the latest report about his drug usage could well be a smoke screen.

If it was a smoke screen, then that means a team likes him and wants him to fall, but doesn't think he will (which is why they'd start that story). Which likely means teams aren't actually THAT worried about his character. Kinda interesting. Still think he'll fall out of round 1 but we'll see

I still say if he passed all the test at the combine, and his psych eval comes back clean, you have to seriously consider the amount of talent he has at #23.

If not for the weed problems, which do appear to be in the past for him, he might be the #1 CB this year instead of Claiborn.
