If he is as good as they say he will get over $12 million per year. My guess is he is a 32+ year old that has been doing roids and HGH for the past few years. Pretty big risk IMO

Lets pass on the high risk investment

He would mix in fine with the culture in Detroit. If they got Adrolis to go to Cincinnati, possibly the most uptight Cuban in a decade, we can get Cespedes to come and mix in with out Hispanic players.uofmpoweri said:Kendry Morales is a pretty nice player. Cubans can play ball. I think that he is worth rolling the dice on. The Tigers have scouts and doctors. If he isn't what they say he is, then they aren't going to go after him. If he is what they say then we can have a star in CF. Im all for taking the chance. Convincing a Cuban to come to Detroit might be another issue.

Huh?
Not that his 29 million contract (as well as Robber-tsons), weren't proven later to be highway robbery, but it was an extension of two more seasons in addition to the one year remaining on his last contract with the Marlins. I can somewhat see an "excuse" for DD's extending Nate's contract, given that he had demonstrated his value to the Tigers in the past, but NOT Dontrelle, that was amazingly stupid, as his stats were in a noticeable decline for the past couple of seasons, and Willis was a SP in the NL, not the AL. DD should have waited until mid-season at least, to see if Willis was gonna pan out or not.
