You don?t always get what you pay for.

Michigan has been way better than average under Harbaugh.

Hasn?t been Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia or Notre Dame.

I guess maybe not Oklahoma or Texas.

Am I missing Any team that has been better than Michigan during the Harbaugh era?

Texas has barely spent any time at all in the top 25 the last 5.5 years that Harbaugh has been in place.

Average meaning losing to Penn St., OSU, Mich St., Wisconsin, ND... sure they can earn a good record against the likes of Indiana, NW, Rutgers, etc... Five years and still can?t put together an elite team with great recruits? C?mon! He?s got the best tools available.

I think you're living in the 90's. Michigan no longer has the best tools available. Everyone has good facilities now. Very few elite athletes are looking at the education angle. Oh, they say they do, but do they really care about that? The Michigan name just doesn't mean as much as it used to, just like Florida St, Texas, USC, and a few others don't carry the same weight as they used to. Times are different now. Michigan has very good tools available, but not the best. Some of that can be laid at Harbaugh's feet, but this has been going on for a while since Harbaugh ever got to Michigan.

Don't get me wrong. I believe that Harbaugh should be doing better and the program should be in a better position, but I just disagree with some specific things that some people say.

It's an odd year. Even years are better for this program under Harbaugh. 2016 and 2018. Maybe in 2020.

Guess it would depend on the criteria. Personally I'd say any team that has made it the the playoff or won a power 5 conference title in that span. So my list would be a bit longer than yours.

I realize that y'all are just messing with him but arguing that getting blown it in their 1 playoff appearance is less of a success than never getting there is pretty dumb. About as dumb as the people who say Brady sucks because he lost 3 super bowls and <insert lesser QB here> never lost one, even though they went to 6 less.

Now if the conversation is which program is in a better place currently, that's clearly Michigan. Then again, it's always been and will be because it's Michigan and MSU is MSU.

I didn't see where anyone did that. I certainly didn't, because it's obviously better to get there than not, no matter what the result.

Michigan fans have nothing to gloat about. Bama beat us like a rug, too.

Who made that argument?

Just saying that gotime has a point. Although Michigan's overall record during Jim's time is better, MSU has had the best single season in that time.

The next time gotime has a valid point about Michigan football, it will be his first.

OK.

I didn?t see anyone responding about MSU being blown out in the CFP, until you.

In #11, I just said I care so little about the Spartans that I didn?t remember them even
ever getting there.

I actually had to look it to see that it happened Harbaugh?s first season at Michigan.

OK.

Again, good for them.

Since the 38-0 loss to Alabama 2015, these Big Ten Teams have more wins than Michigan State.

OSU, Michigan, PSU, WISC, Iowa, NW and MINN.
