When can we be upset about Ebron?

Lions D dominated Eli like they should. Ok against Carolina (some second half problems though 15 long drive points). And very good against an elite QB in Rodgers. So far so good. Better than everyone expected too.

100% it was unexpected, bro!! That's why the doom and gloomers are up in arms. The Lions didn't win that game at all. Green Bay lost that game on Sunday. Nothing else to bitch about lol

Did you see how many throws Rodgers missed yesterday? Have you ever seen him miss that many throws before? No one did ANYTHING to make him miss that throw to jordy nelson in the endzone. There were things the defense did well yesterday......but arod sucking ass was a bigger reason why we won that game....no doubt about it.

Pressure made him skiddish.

Or even better, if he's being a pussy because of the collarbone injury and plays like this more. Fuck GB having an elite Qb for 20 years in a row.

Lions covered well and forced Rodgers to make mistakes.

I'll credit the defense. You can blame it all on Rodgers. You're a big boy.

They shut down the run. Well Lacy. Starks had a good average.

16/27. 11 misfires from Rodgers? How many of those 11 due to pressure?

And the Lions controlled the clock. That's both the defense and Lions offense.

Clearly the Lions were the better team and deserved the win.

A forced fumble by Fairley, a safety and 2 sacks on 3rd downs killed 4 Packer drives. That would be the defense on those for sure.

3 drives ended on incomplete passes. And then he had the one TD drive.

And we didn't give up any pass plays over 20 yards all game. Great game plan and coverage.

Of course it's great they won. But to suggest that Green Bay didn't do some horrible game planning is inaccurate. Why in the holy hell would you try to pound the front 7 and and only let one of the best QBs in football throw the ball less than 30 times? They kept trying, and trying, and trying. Lions caught a break that Green Bay went mental for 60 minutes with their offensive schemes.

The Lions did a good job of putting pressure on Rodgers but I do agree with you. Terrible game plan by GB IMO. Gota give the Lions D some credit but I have seen him have great games against more / better pressure. This game was the opposite of the 49ers vs. the Bears last week. The 49ers gave that game to the Bears by going away from what they do best (run the ball) and passed themselves to death in the 2nd 1/2. GB seemed to want to run the ball...I have no idea why!

Green Bay only ran the ball 22 times. Lions controlled the time of possession by 17 minutes, which is why Rodgers didn't throw as much (had 29 drop backs and 2 more that were Lions penalties on passes) 2 sacks on 3rd down. This is both good for Detroit offense and defense why they controlled the clock. Best way to beat Green Bay. Detroit outcoached a team too.

I never said GB played a smart football game. But now we caught a break that GB f'd up?? Holy hell it's a lose/lose situation with you guys lol.

22 runs and 31 drop backs. That's normal.

Lions just controlled the clock, got off the field 4 times with a forced fumble, 2 3rd down sacks and safety. 3 misfires from Rodgers. Misfires due to pressure?

I'm just saying it in general, wasn't towards you in specific.

And sure we did. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm not ashamed of it. If a team does dumb shit and the team you root for benefits from it, more power to us.

Soooo, if Detroit has the #1 D in the league at the end of the year...

Did we just catch 16 lucky breaks?

If the Lions have the #1 defense at the end of the season, they will be in the playoffs and the bandwagon will be bursting at the seams. You know this yet you ask your passive aggressive, sarcastic question.

3 =! 16

We're aware the defense has performed beyond expectation thus far. The question at hand is can they keep suffering injuries and keep up this pace. The safe bet is no, though we're all hoping they can keep up what they doing. T. Austin and his defense are the MVPs of this team after less than 1/5th of a season played. But that's not a huge sample size so forgive us "haters" for not blowing our load after a couple wins (and 1 loss).
