Colin Cowherd : Stafford vs Rodgers

FYI, Stafford isn't more talented than Rodgers.

Career stats:
Accuracy- 65.1 vs 61.5 percent
QBR- 104.1 vs 86.8
TD/INT- 297/72 vs 187/108.

Rodgers pocket presence and ability to make plays on the run is probably the best out of any starting QB I've seen in 15 years. Stafford? He's okay.

Rodgers makes more plays on his feet than Stafford will ever be able to.

Most importantly? He wins on the biggest stages. Stafford doesn't.

This argument is a joke. Give it a rest.

If Stafford made the same throw you would all be bashing him and praising the WR.

If Stafford made that throw, that would mean they won the division or a wild card game and we'd have all died of shock already.

Stafford has room to make 5 more INTS before he's tied with Rodgers. In the meantime he needs to throw 110 TDs in that same time. So as long as he can maintain 22 TDS for every 1 pick, he'll catch up.

FYI you misread the Long pass column for the int column.

Stafford has 108 career INTs, Rodgers has 72

Whoops! Guess that makes it worse :(

Substantially worse lol

No offense but Matt Stafford is dumb as a rock. Why is there this thing where he gets labeled smart?

In all fairness, this interview was done when Rodgers wasnt playing his best football and Stafford was playing really well. Can't believe LKP is still arguing this, oh wait, yes I can.

It was wobbly. Cook had to perform a miracle to catch it. It was a tough throw and Rodgers did just enough.

I saw a perfectly placed ball. Perfect. And no, everybody would've been ecstatic if Stafford made that throw, granted our WR/TE would've dropped it anyways :/

Don't believe staffy is better than Rodgers but the interceptions are slightly skewed due to the fact Aaron sat the bench the first three years whereas stafford had to learn on terrible teams right off the bat

If you compare 2011 onwards when they're both the full time regular starters with some experience under their belt...Rodgers has a significantly lower INT rate.

Stafford has done much better the past year or two in cutting those down. Although a lot of that might be the offensive philosophy in general becoming more conservative.

That last sentence nailed it. It's almost too conservative. I rather see more INT, and more big play scores.

Oh come on UM, that's not fair. Lack of weapons, injuries, refs, etc.

Rodgers also has the benefit of playing outside in the cold. Less likely for defenses to intercept a cold ball. Much easier to intercept a warm dome ball. His interceptions would double in dome. Cold snowy weather makes it easier on the QB...FACT!

Stafford 3 offenses since 2011. Rodgers one with protection, weapons and run game

Stafford has had 7 100 yard rushers in a game for his entire career. 7 games in 8 seasons

That stat is rediculous. It blows my mind. The overall ineptitude of this franchise the last decade is unbelievable. 128 games.....7 of them we had a 100 yard rusher. 5.4%

Rodgers is CLEARLY a better QB than Stafford......but #9 gets little help.

Agreed, and aside from maybe the 2014 Lions team, I'd say Rodgers has been dealt a better overall roster. Rodgers is clearly the better Qb, but given the Lions endless futility, can there really be a fair comparison? Rodgers is carrying that team this year, and just flat out destroying teams by himself of late. He'd win as a Cleveland Brown his year, he'd be on his way to Atlanta playing as a Lion this year. Hes that good, and the last 8-9 games has basically put him on a level all by himself.

It's only compared because someone here compared them.

Rodgers without protection was worse than Stafford. 2015

Lions have only had a 70 yard rusher twice in the last 34 games. 70. Not 100. 70

13 games for Brady. 10 for Rodgers by the way, 16 for Matt ryan

Bell did it 5 times in 2014. Terrible protection, new offense

9 times in 2013. But weapons were hurt and bad. High drops. High fumbles.

5 times in 2012. High drops. High fumbles

3 times in 2011, good protection, healthy weapons, 9 of 16 picks in 3 games with finger injury

Eh whatever spin doctor, try as you will. Rodgers is a Hall of Fame QB, our guy hasn't won a playoff game. It's fun watching you try to squirm out of this one.

Just admit Rodgers is a MUCH better QB, and we can move on from this thread.
