Game #25: San Diego Padres @ Detroit Tigers, Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, 1:10 Pm

Tigers management seems paralyzed by guys with Money. They will not let go or send down Maeda, Baez, and probably Keith because of money. If Gores owned this team both Baez and Maeda would have been shot out of a cannon last season.

I do credit Baez for playing a half way above average Center Fiedler. Pretty amazing catch yesterday … I hope he starts to hit. He seems so likable.

Keith needs time in Toledo soon if he does not start hitting. Baltimore series could be high scoring as the starting pitching for the O’s is struggling. Hopefully Colt breaks out of his slump.
I think the biggest problem sending guys down is we really don't have players down below that are worthy. Baddoo again?

This is so true too.. Baddoo equals Yuck ! Clark isn't ready, Jones maybe ? I think Lee may get a shot later this year. Man I wish Jung could hit like he does at Toledo.
Organization should have plenty of Pitching options. I agree hitting and fielding we have to wait. But Maeda ? No way he makes it past June unless he turns it around fast.

Maybe when Vierling, and Meadows come back. At that point, unless something changes, maybe Keith gets sent down. But until then options are just limited.

What happened to Matt Manning , Foley, and Lange ,
Lange is hurt. Not sure on manning, and Foley.

I just watched the highlights again from that combined no hitter again. It is crazy none of these guys are with the tigers.

July 8th 2023. All of these guys are probably not in the tigers plans anymore.

Just 3 walks.

Manning was hurt for a bit. Not sure now..

Javy Baez covers a ton of ground to make this grab this afternoon! Not bad for a brand new centerfielder! Initial Statcast probability is 70%, which may change due to proximity to the wall. This is the second lowest catch probability of the season for an outfielder needing to cover 115+ feet, which Javy had to do here.

Zach McKinstry’s hot streak has carried the Tigers early on.
The veteran utility player isn’t going to stay this hot, but time and experience may have helped him reach a new level as a hitter.
