I can't speak for MC, but I can say that Michigan beating OSU in the regular season, in Columbus, and for the fourth consecutive season, more than compensates for OSU winning the D1 NCAA football tournament that was far less challenging than the regular season was. I like the Fangraphs metric of wRC+ (weighted runs created). Similar index, to OPS+, where 100 is league average. Torkelson's 2024 wRC+ was 92, or 8% below league average.
