#1 pick pretty darn likely.

Hate to say it. Might have to go with Jared Goff- QB Cal.

unfortunately there are some very winnable games in the future. I still see the Lions winning 5 or 6 games. Top 5 pick though.

Their biggest need is OL. If they get the #1 pick they NEED to trade back to get more picks. There will be a LT in the top 10 somewhere.

I'm still going to hold out hope that New England will take our high 2nd rounder in exchange for Jimmy Garoppolo. Since they dont' have their 1st rounder this year they may want a high second.

I'm guessing we will go with an OT with our 1st.

I'd probably go OT since I don't see that once a decade QB in this draft. Stanley, Tunsil, Decker, and Conklin are all rated as first rounders at OT. Take the best of that group to play LT and slide Rieff over to RT and the OL suddenly looks a lot better. That would help Stafford and the run game tremendously.

Robert Nkemdiche is the best player in the country and we need a 3 technique DT. He's the most athletic 296 lb football player I've ever seen.

I went to Walter Football to see what they had to say about him and where he is "projected" to go. They had him at #10 and said this "Robert Nkemdiche has some off-the-field and work ethic issues that concern teams"

Sounds exactly like someone the Lions would take #1 overall.

Nkemdiche:

"Instead he talks about Zen and centering himself.
He talks about interstellar science and enlightened souls.
He brings up Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead and traveling down 'The Golden Road.'"
"I have a different role on this team — a different DNA," Nkemdiche said. "I feel like this is the moment where I'm the one that needs to step up and make my energy felt.""

I have never heard anything attitude-wise about him. Walter Football's site looks like something that was designed when Netscape was the main browser.

sounds like he is on drugs!

Lol. Well, maybe he's one of those weird dudes kinda like Harbaugh, but I haven't heard anything about him being a bad teammate or possessing a bad attitude.

He is a beast, one of the best defenders I have seen in college. We will take him then restructure his contract so much that we can't even tag him in his prime.

I'd be fine with us going that direction. Shawn Oakman could be another possibility for us. Nkemdiche or Oakman along with Ansah would be the start of something good up front. Either way, I think we definitely need to invest in the OL and DL early in the next draft.

I'd like Nkemdiche in the first, and Boykin later in the draft

If it's not the 1st pick, gotta be in the 2nd round. QB HAS to be taken.

Haha touche. When does this organization have the best luck, 5th, 6th round?

Last year I thought Hogan would be a good late round qb. This year I have only seen him vs Northwestern, which wasn't good. So I have no idea anymore.

Jackmerius Tacktheretrix, Hingle McCringleberry, or Javaris Jamar Javarison-Lamar would all be solid picks.

Cut Tulloch. Lions will have plenty of room after that.

OT,one DT maybe two,one DE for Jones,SS,outside CB and slot CB,ILB,power back

Swanson and Laken will just have to get better and we'll probably rely on Lawson and Diggs. Same with Carter maybe too on outside. And Van Noy at SAM. Lewis and Whitehead are free agents but should be cheap.

Ansah,Slay,Levy,Quin decent building blocks. Wright/Reid can be 3rd and 4th DT.

Waddle/Lucas, Wilson/Lawson/Diggs, Bell, Tulloch, Swanson/Laken, Walker(injury) and Stafford all failed this year.

Calvin, Tate, Ngata (some injury) and Slay regressed.

I feel bad for Stafford though without protection or run support with a predictable OC. If he lights it up with some other team I will be so pissed.
