2016 Draft- Who ya got?

Looked really fluent in the pass-catching drills. Idk...
Mayock compares him to Alshon Jeffery. Not fast but a big body who takes away the ball from DB's

Alshon who is about to make top 5 money....yup, I'll take that at 16 and pay him a mil.

Yeah, when CJ retires we're gonna need a WR for you to complain about running 7 yard slants.

I wouldn't complain if we took Treadwell....but Coleman or even Fuller fit this offense better.

If he got IR'd.....he wouldn't take a roster spot from anyone.....so it wouldn't hurt anything.

Fair enough but I'm not sure I want a 2nd round or 3rd round pick not playing for at least a least. Those picks can be starting.

IMO I'd use a 3rd.....but that's it. He'll go well before that, though. Seems like a great pick for a good team like NE, Den or Seattle that can wait on him.

We can't afford that luxury.

But he might never play. Those teams you mentioned still need their 3rd round picks playing.

Stafford's average air yards went DOWN under JBC. This is a very catch and run oriented offense. We need catch and run WR's

True. ..but not many offenses can be productive without atleast a threat of going deep. Not even Peyton could pull that off. Brady is the only one brilliant at it....stafford isn't Brady and We don't have an Edelman or gronk.

I'm pretty sure Coleman and his 4.35 (my guess of what he'll run at his pro day) or Fuller and his 4.32 pose pretty decent deep threats.

Treadwell is a big target, not necessarily a deep threat.

Treadwell is Alshon Jeffery based on the way they play their games coming out of college. He'll run a 4.6 at the combine and have his separation from corners picked over on film. We can get him at 16 if we want him. He may fall further, Jeffery was a second round pick.

You mean Mayock said what I said two weeks ago in this very thread?

Give me the top DB on the board. Quietly that's what has become the most important position in football outside of the QB.

Yes, I know you got to protect your QB and yes I know you need to pressure a QB. But this day an age with the scrambling QB's you need DB's who can stick with a receiver for an extended play.

Look at the top teams the past couple of seasons and what they had with their DB's.

Last years Super Bowl winner had Revis.
2yrs ago it was Sherman
Norman faced off against Peterson in the NFC title game this year.
Harris and Talib helped Denver this year win the Super Bowl beating Norman and Car.

We need DB help!

My top 5 for pick 16:
Treadwell
Spence
Nkemdiche
Conklin
And depending how apple does tomorrow i might throw him on my list.

If he's there in the 3rd, 4th round, take him without thinking twice.

William Jackson III....DB....Houston.

He is my sleeper DB pick. That kid looked REALLY quick in drills and ran 4.37.

I really like the look of that kid.

He's not much of a sleeper pick. PFF has him ranked 13th overall and 2nd best DB among all prospects. They're one of the few sites that actually watches tape and comes up with a big board on their own vs. other sites which use what they hear from scouts and the rumor mill to determine their big board. You can bet that most teams have a similar consensus when it comes to prospects. He'll be taken in the first round come April.

Didn't know he was that highly touted. Last I looked, one site had him as a middle round pick. Don't remember where I read that, though.

Well shit, thought he'd be a good steal in the 2nd or 3rd.....but that seems unlikely.

Mayock put him in his top 5 CBs on sunday prior to the DB drills. I agree booger....kid looks like a stud. Hopefully a couple more guys rise so talent like Apple can fall to us in rd 2. Might not mind picking WJ3 at 16 at this point though....DE or DT in rd 2 might still be a round 1 projected type player.
