2017 Playoffs - Astros electronic sign stealing - Now Astros fire Luhnow and Hinch

Asked for any ideas on how Major League Baseball can prevent teams like the Asterisks from cheating in the future, Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire said, ?Don?t put trash cans around the dugout.?

The Tigers have not used sign-stealing technology for their hitters in recent seasons, general manager Al Avila said.

Maybe that's because like where the Tigers are in advancing analytics, they are 20 years behind the times.

Not necessarily the greatest choice for winning it all ..but definitely an established veteran manager who will establish respect as the season progresses ..and who will probably absorb or deflect some degree of the negativity the players will likely face from other players, fans, and media during 2020.

Now wouldn't it be nice if only the Red Sox would hire Jim Leyland for the same purpose!
