2019 Major League Playoffs and World Series

Boy Aultve had a terrible at bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd one out. Terrible swings and a k with a chance to tie the game up.

Its amazing how many home runs JV has given up this season. Somehow most are solo ones but gave up 2 tonight. I heard Max might pitch tonight if they need him.

Another winless WS start for JV. Spotted an early lead and gives up 2 5th inning Homer's. Pulled after 5 innings. Strasburg dealing after giving up 2 first inning runs

That's why you leave you're stud starters in and not replace them just because they gave up 3 runs.

JV again fails to record his first WS win, but be tagged with another WS loss.

Ouch...that will leave a mark upon his career stats for his HoF ballot.

1st ballot regardless of his poor World Series showings. Better WAR and adjusted ERA than dozens of current HoF starting pitchers.

Nah....turok is right.

His third no-hitter this year, putting him in the rarefied air of Cy Young, Sandy Koufax, Nolan Ryan, Bob Feller and one other dude, along with his already one Cy Young award, his American League MVP, his fairly likely Cy Young this year, and his ALCS MVP award from three years ago aren?t going to be enough.

But they?re all going to be like ?you know he never won a World Series game, even though he broke the record for most postseason strikeouts? Let?s just wait and make the decision next year.?

Strasburg empties tank in dynamite performance.
'I just gave it everything I had,' righty says of 8 1/3-inning Game 6 start.

World Series makes road-win history -- not just in baseball.

The 115th World Series has officially made history -- and not just baseball history.

The Nationals? season-saving 7-2 victory over the Astros in Game 6 on Tuesday night made road teams a perfect 6-0 in this year?s Fall Classic.
It?s the first World Series in which the road team has won each of the first six games, and it?s also the first time in 1,420 best-of-seven postseason series across MLB, NBA and NHL in which the road team has won each of the first six contests.

No doubt he's a HOF pitcher. His WS performances are like looking at his naked wife but she has a pimple on her face. She's still HOF caliber.

I kind of find it funny he pitches poorly in the WS...maybe he is just choking just a little bit. :hehe:

Check out Kershaw in the playoffs. Nothing like his regular season.

I've been pulling for Max this series, JV got his last year.

It's kind of funny seeing Rodney, Sanchez, and Max (and JV) all within a game of winning a World Series. Crazy to think how the Tigers mismanaged that whole situation and didn't win squat in the end.

I have liked Max ever since I read that article about his brother who committed suicide. I certainly hope he starts tonight and gets the W

Here's the article in case anybody wants to read it.

EDIT: And the World Series thing, in so far as pitching stats.

Lolich should be in the Hof for what he did in the 1968 World Series ! 3-0 Is something in a seven game series !

Looks likes this weird series continues. Three wins for each road team ! Senators have the edge if super Max can pitch like normal! Again I really don?t care who wins but I tend to root for the AL a lot in WS except when Boston and New York plays. I guess I rooted against Cleveland too. Also if Washington wins check another team?s box at winning a WS since 1984 other then the Tigers :/
