2021 MLB Draft Tigers Picks: Draft Jackson Jobe 1.3.

The MLB draft starts today. Watch the Detroit Tigers' "war room", especially for the power pecking order.
Al Avila sits front and center with owner Chris Ilitch on his immediate left.
But what's alarming is that Jim Leyland is usually on his immediate right.
Not Chadd, Littlefield or Bream.

Totally Tigers

We are Doomed as Tigers fans with the group that runs this franchise.
There isn't a Shortstop that is Major League ready On The Tigers Team or in the Minors and they had a chance to Draft a Shortstop for the Future to Put in the middle of the future Lineup with Greene and Torkelson and they draft a pitcher a high school pitcher who are notorious for not amounting to much of anything.
Meantime the red sox draft Marcelo Mayer.
F'n rats Ilitch and Avila Leyland Littlefield Chadd and Bream Fcuk them all.

With their second selection on Day 1, the Tigers nabbed the best player on the board by a mile.

I have no idea who is the best player is going to be coming out of this draft. I kind of wanted the guys that went 1 & 2 because I feel they are closest to contributing at the ML level. That said, I don't mind the pick of Jobe. He might end up being the best pitcher in this draft. Plus, from what I read, it may have allowed them (financially) to take the TX pitcher at 32 since he will command more money than where he was drafted. I read an article that you posted that said he was ranked the #9 prospect in this draft.

Essentially, they got the #6 and #9 rated prospects in the draft. Seems like a win to me.

As far as SS, I'm not so sure that Zach Short can't be an every day SS.

Tigers getting a lot of criticism for the pick of Jobe with all the HS SS's available.

High school position players seem like a big risk to me. There is a LONG way to go for a 17-19 year old kid to be a big league ready bat/defender.

Personally, I like the Jobe pick. Is seems like, at the very least, he could be a plus plus pen guy.....possible future closer. You can succeed in the pen at the MLB level with two plus pitches, which he seemingly has.

The way the bullpen looked yesterday, I highly doubt that kid could have done any worse. Can we finally end the Joe Jimenez experiment please!
