Because it's ST. It doesn't matter. I don't care about the HRs he gave up, they mean nothing. I've always said that about ST. I only mentioned it because you specifically brought up the fact his velocity was up and his ST version etc. Like 8 IP in ST should change anything. Like he should earn a spot based solely on that..

I was joking about his spring training stats. Didn't you see the at the end? That said, I wouldn't say that spring training means nothing. If you have two players that are fighting for a job, one has a great spring, and the other sucks, I think I'm taking the guy that had the great spring.

I don't know what that emoji meant. Possibly but I suspect it's based on more than just ST stats. One guy won't get a job based on 8-23 compared to 7-25 guy. Not by itself. If that was the case Jobe would be front runner to land a spot. Jahmai Jones would be starting in CF.
