2025 Tigers Spring Training

Yeah Jobe as good as he was in the minors last season he only pitched a total of 91 innings. The most he’s ever pitched in a season to date. Try to get 140 in Toledo this season and bring him up in ‘26.

this makes sense as well. He only had 9 innings at AAA
 
Mize is getting squeezed horribly today. 3 walks that all should've been called 3rd strikes. Picked 1 off with a great move and swipe tag from tork. He's looked great this spring.

Parker Meadows just confirmed it's the musculocutaneous nerve. "It's a weird waiting game. Still a little numb on the forearm, but I think it's definitely tolerable. Might be something I have to fight through because the strength is still there. Trending up, though."

he had another meaningless 2 run single in the 5th. I swear, it seems like some people root against what is in the best interest for the team, just to be right. The best thing for this team would be for Tork to mash and to win the 1B job.

Oh he's clearly rooting against him. For the life of me I can't see why.
 
Honestly, not sure how you can give Keith the job whenTork has looked better at the plate and in the field and is earning another chance. I think Malloy playing lf today makes me believe that they might be leaning that way. Either way, the competition mightve finally got tork to buy in.
 
Final line for Tigers starter Casey Mize: 3.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 4 K. 70 pitches, 42 strikes. Generated 12 misses on 34 swings (35.3% whiff rate) with 4 fastballs, 3 sliders, 3 splitters, 2 sinkers. Fastball averaged 95.8 mph, maxed at 97.2 mph. Walked 2 in 1st inning.
Spring training stats: Casey Mize has a 0.00 ERA with five walks and 14 strikeouts across 11.1 innings in four games (three starts). Four hits allowed, but zero extra-base hits. Most importantly, Mize is missing bats for the first time in a long time. Very impressive.
