2025 Tigers Spring Training

Carpenter might be older but he was a rook in 2023, maybe 2022 and so far has hit well. Injuries aside. Those other guys are all fringe, AAAA guys.
I probably didn't articulate my point very well. Carp is the best hitter on the team, and didn't even get a chance to play until he was 25. The other guys that you say are just AAAA players...you are just guessing. My point is, you don't give up on a 25 year old player.

Carpenter was a college guy he only had a couple years in the minors. Its not he sat in the minors for years. But he hit right away. It's hard to do that when you only hit .230. I actually hate to hate on Tork. I was stoked when we drafted him.. Just disappointed.

LET THE INTRIGUE BEGIN.
Totally Tigers

Rejoice, Tiger fans! The 2025 season is officially underway this evening with the first game against the Dodgers.
In anticipation of watching all 162 games, I came up with a list of what I believe will be the 12 most interesting story lines to follow.
By “interesting” I mean intriguing. Stories that have not yet been written. Stories that will play out for months.
So you won’t see Tarik Skubal on my list. He’s proven. He’ll continue to be great this coming year. His story is essentially written so there will be little – if any – intrigue concerning him.
Without further adieu, here’s my list.

Opening day roster

Catchers (2): Dillon Dingler, Jake Rogers.

Infielders (7): Javier Báez, Andy Ibáñez, Colt Keith, Zach McKinstry, Trey Sweeney, Spencer Torkelson, Gleyber Torres.

Outfielders (4): Kerry Carpenter, Riley Greene, Ryan Kreidler, Manuel Margot.

Starting pitchers (5): Jack Flaherty, Jackson Jobe, Casey Mize, Reese Olson, Tarik Skubal.

Relief pitchers (8): John Brebbia, Beau Brieske, Brenan Hanifee, Tyler Holton, Brant Hurter, Tommy Kahnle, Kenta Maeda, Will Vest.

They have to tread water with AAAA players and terrible defense and a 4th or 5th string centerfielder until after the All-Star Game break.
