Aaron Berry gone

He's a knucklehead. He had enough talent where he could hang on some rosters and make a decent living barring injury, but he's nowhere near good enough where teams will put up with the kind of shit he's pulling...

IMO, Berry was the 2nd best corner on the team and would develop into a solid corner, but I support this 100%...I just can't take this shit anymore

so the Lions draw a line in the sand....assaults and brandishing a weapon are it.

multiple DUI's and weed....they're ok with

That's part of it, Slick, but I think the fact that he's not a high pick played a part in it too. Bit of a double standard, but not surprising. Now it gives the image that the Lions are actually getting tough on crime.

Berry, if he indeed, was our 2nd best CB then we're much worse than I would have thought.

LMAO if you're expecting a good season from Smith/Lacey/Bentley, you're going to be disappointed....can't wait to see one of those cover Randy Moss, Jordy Nelson, Julio Jones, and Jeremy Maclin...not that Berry would've fared any better, but just saying...#2 corner hasn't been a strength for a while

Free-agent acquisition Jacob Lacey "ranked 81st in success rate against the pass last year and 88th in 2010." Come on down!

Hope Mayhew doesn't panic and go after this guy...

Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins will report to training camp Wednesday, a source tells ESPN Dallas.
Jenkins, unhappy with his contract, skipped voluntary workouts this offseason. He was placed on the trade block during the draft, but the Cowboys found no takers. Meanwhile, Jenkins hasn't been medically cleared for contact following shoulder surgery. Brandon Carr and rookie Morris Claiborne form the Cowboys' new starting corner tandem.

Not sure I can give Judgement on guys that I haven't seen play but we'll do what we did last season, score points by throwing the ball.

And IMO, Berry wasn't any better than the ones you listed. He gets beat, a lot.

They all sucked last year. I thought Berry is/was the best of the bunch. I'm just saying, regardless of who you think the #2 guy is/was, you have to know its gonna be bad. Lacey and Smith were pretty awful last year too, and rookie corners often struggle.

What about that speed guy with great measurable's. Maybe he's another Revis, lol.

Houston was the best. The rest sucked. Including Berry. Glad hes gone.

Yeah this sucks. Bentley or Greenwood and Lacey in the slot are going to need to step up or Mayhew better scan the waiver wire during camp cuts for a veteran corner.

I think they need to add more than just the waiver cuts. Maybe send someone a draft pick for a proven corner.

Greenwood? HAHAHAHA

I think smith will be starting opposite Houston now with Lacey/Bentley in the nickel
